Welcome to PORCH - the blogger's magazine! This is where the blog meets paper and we get a little more detailed about some of the topics that you've told us that you want to know more about. What started out as a simple quest to print "Thriftyville" in a more afforable way, has ballooned into PORCH. I'm so excited to bring you Thriftyville as a special issue of our bloggers magazine! Future issues will have a more traditional feel with articles and photos provided by several bloggers spanning lots of yummy topics, but this issue is one that you will savor.

In this issue we're taking a photo tour of some over-the-top shops! More of a special feature book than just a magazine, this is a rare peek at the displays and set up of some amazing boutiques. Comparable in size to traditional magazines, there's loads of wonderful pictures.

It's a great issue to start us off as we are "getting our legs" in this new magazine territory. We're gaining some experience working with graphics & new software, and you're getting loads and loads of scrumptious photos! Since the shopping taste buds are bound to get watering after seeing all these great shops, we've added some fun PORCH items on the right sidebar. Both the magazine and all the other items for sale are available at low costs because we aren't adding any big fees. This is just for enjoyment!

PORCH Magazine was created for the sole purpose of promoting bloggers and their businesses. We are a print magazine promoting online businesses. In 2009, PORCH became an all-photos magazine. We allow for only minimal paid advertisements in each issue so that 99% of the pages are dedicated to the beautiful photographs provided by our contributors. If you know of someone or you would like your own blog/website to be considered, we'd love to hear from you!

All the staff members of Porch are volunteers/barely paid employees :) and thus, fitting one more thing into their busy lives. We know you understand that we do our best to be accurate in our work, as well as available when you have questions, but we stubbornly insist that our families are our first priority =) Please feel free to email your questions to us at porchmagazine@gmail.com
